Call straight away if you have:
- Sudden vision loss
- New distortion
- A sudden increase in floaters
- A new shadow or curtain across your vision
- Any other acute change in vision
Urgent cases are prioritised. Outside consulting hours, Sydney Eye Hospital provides a 24-hour ophthalmic emergency service at 8 Macquarie Street, Sydney. For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.
