Call urgently for sudden vision changes
During consulting hours, call the rooms immediately on (02) 8544 0719.
Call straight away if you have:
- Sudden vision loss
- New distortion
- A sudden increase in floaters
- A new shadow or curtain across your vision
- Any other acute change in vision
Urgent cases are prioritised. Outside consulting hours, Sydney Eye Hospital provides a 24-hour ophthalmic emergency service at 8 Macquarie Street, Sydney. For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.
Getting here
The practice is at Suite 6, Ground Floor, 50-52 Urunga Parade, Miranda, opposite Westfield Miranda, a minute from Miranda Station. For more on what to bring, parking, and accessibility, see Your Visit.
Suite 6 is on the ground floor. There is no need to take the lift.

Routine referrals can be on paper, or sent via email, Healthlink, fax, or Oculo. Please call ahead for urgent referrals.
Book an appointment.
If you already have a referral, please call to arrange your appointment. Bring the referral on the day, or email us a photo in advance.
If you do not have one yet, ask your optometrist or GP to send a referral. You can ask to be referred to A/Prof Hunt by name. Once it has been sent, call the rooms to arrange a time.
