Risks of Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery is one of the safest and most commonly performed operations in medicine. The vast majority of patients have an uncomplicated procedure with a meaningful improvement in vision.
Like any surgical procedure, there are risks. These are discussed with you personally during your pre-operative consultation, so that you can make an informed decision with a clear understanding of both the expected benefits and the uncommon but real possibility of a complication.
After Surgery — What to Watch For
Most recoveries are straightforward. However, if something doesn't feel right in the days or weeks after surgery — particularly increasing pain, worsening redness, or a noticeable drop in vision — contact the rooms promptly. Early assessment is always the right response.
