Dr Adrian Hunt was conferred his PhD at the University of Sydney's Great Hall on 3 December 2025, completing doctoral research at the Save Sight Institute on real-world treatment outcomes in retinal vein occlusion.
The doctorate represents several years of research conducted alongside clinical practice. Findings from the work have been published across more than twenty peer-reviewed papers and continue to inform Dr Hunt's approach to injection therapy and long-term retinal care.
Dr Hunt continues to be involved in research as the lead investigator in the retinal vein occlusion module of the Fight Retinal Blindness! registry, and holds a Clinical Senior Lecturer appointment at the University of Sydney. With the thesis now submitted, he has opened up additional consulting days at Eye Surgeons Miranda.
